Further strengthening its commitment to provide world-class facilities and services in support of research  and teaching,  EnggLib2 will be inaugurating the Learning Commons Facility on March 18, 2010. Creation of the facility was made possible through funding from UP Diliman and the Department of Science and Technology - Engineering for Research and Development for Technology (DOST-ERDT) Project.

The IEEExplore, the online digital library of IEEE publications, will feature a new user interface beginning February 13, 2010. The new interface will make use of a new search engine and will include features such as advanced typing, faceted search results, saved search, new content alerts, and institutional branding for institutional subscribers. In anticipation of this, the people behind IEEExplore conducted a training for librarians and faculty members last January 25 and 25 respectively. The new interface offers easier navigation and allows customization of searches.
